When not writing & directing children’s shows, or singing with Jazz, it is my pleasure to continue my acting career. Here in Nova Scotia I have had the opportunity to work with many tlaented actors, vocalists, muscians, writers, directors and choreographers. Most recently in The Other Women project working collaboritavily with Laurel Darnel, Sue Evans and Mike Watson. Beginning with a theme ie. “the other women…we become” we gather dialogue, song and poetry to weave together an intricate theatreical experience.
I have been most fortunate to work with composer Mary Knickle in her Sea Farer’s Requiem and her opera Morgan Le Fay. Mary is a tremendous talent bringing her years of performance experience and vocal comprehention to eveything she writes. In addition to working with Mary on her compositions, we performed together in Common Thread a four part musical group featuring Heather Kristensen and Erin Donovan. We also created school tour shows S’eating you? and The Pip Squeeks Holiday Review.
The Village of Chester has it’s very own unique theatrical legacy represented in the Chester Drama Society and it has been my pleasure to act, choreograph, and direct for them as well as being a featured artist in several of the Coldest Day Events. The CDS is reknown for it’s quirky “Christmas” shows written by master mind (and resident maniac) Malcolm Calloway who, tgether with Dawn Harwood-Jones, have been extreemly generous and supportive of all my dramatic endeveors since arriving in 2007.
Befor I start the cronilogical list of performnace work, let me save you the reading and say that I’ve had my favorite roles; Dot in Sunday in the Park with Gerge, Sally in Cabaret, Mrs. Meers in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Lola in Damn Yankies and Reno Sweny in Anything Goes.
